Brooke Molpus

Brooke Molpus-Cortez is a proven academic leader who has devoted her career to ensuring all children have access to a high quality education, particularly children from historically marginalized communities. She brings 20 years of expertise in leadership development, curriculum implementation, and instructional coaching to her work as a consultant.  Most recently, Brooke served as  the SVP of Program Implementation at Blue Engine where she led work to transform classrooms into truly inclusive learning environments for all students and build the capacity of school and district leaders to better serve diverse learners.  Prior to her work with Blue Engine, Brooke served as the Deputy Assistant Superintendent of Academic Strategy at the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) where she oversaw the adoption and effective implementation of high quality curriculum across the state. During her time at the LDOE, Brooke expanded her leadership in a number of areas including the development principals as instructional leaders, building career pipelines for educators, and writing education policy.  Brooke previously held positions at Teach For America and Teach for All. She began her career as an eighth grade English teacher in Houston, TX. 

Brooke has a Masters in Education Leadership from the Broad Center for the Management of School Systems, and a BA in English from Rhodes College. She currently lives in Memphis, TN with her husband and son. In her spare time she enjoys making jewelry and pottery.
