NorthStar Education Partners collaborated with The Urban Assembly to conceive a shared vision for operating as a model provider, sharing their unique academic, data, social-emotional, and college-readiness strategies with the field. This partnership aimed to transform The Urban Assembly’s existing services into a model provider format and promote the internal staff’s capabilities to support this vision.

Objectives

The Urban Assembly partnered with NorthStar to:

  1. Vision Formulation: Formulate a vision for becoming a model provider, including what to offer, how much to charge, and the needs of the field.
  2. Service Conversion: Convert existing services into a model provider format.
  3. Staff Capability Promotion: Promote their internal staff’s capabilities and mindset around being a model provider.
  4. Revenue Roadmap: Create a roadmap to generate more revenue for services over time, refine the model, and systematically reflect on progress.
