Blake Zimmerman
Blake is fiercely committed to ensuring all students, teachers and leaders have the tools they need to attain an excellent education and believes deeply in educational equity for all students. He is an educational leader with strong project management, communication and organizational skills. He is analytical and a system thinker, who is focused deeply on tackling challenges in a thoughtful and comprehensive way.
Over his 13 year career in public education, Blake has worked in a variety of public and charter settings and has served a variety of roles, including: Instructional Coordinator and Project Manager, Robotics Teacher, Dean of Academics, Special Education Lead and Special Education Teacher. He brings experience to the team in data analysis, assessment, social emotional learning, systems thinking, instructional coaching, special education and critical friendship.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Georgia and a Master’s in Education in Urban Teacher Leadership from Georgia State University. He loves the mountains, is an avid disc golfer and loves spending time with his son, Ezra, his dog, Cici, and his wife, Ashley.
