Shannon Echols is an education strategist and operations leader with nearly two decades of experience helping schools and nonprofit organizations translate ambitious goals into strategy, systems, and execution. Her expertise spans strategic planning, organizational design and operations, executive leadership, board governance, communications, and complex project management. She is particularly skilled at bringing structure to high-stakes, cross-functional work and building the systems leaders and teams need to move from vision to sustained execution.
Prior to her consulting work, Shannon served as Chief of Staff for a network of public charter schools in Atlanta, where she partnered with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to lead organization-wide priorities spanning strategic planning, governance, organizational structure, talent and compensation strategy, executive operations, and other critical initiatives. Her career has spanned classroom, school-based, and network-level leadership, giving her a perspective that connects organizational strategy to the realities of implementation.
Shannon believes strong organizations can be a powerful force for greater fairness and opportunity, and she is committed to building systems that ensure every community member has access to what they need to thrive. She is based in Atlanta, where she lives with her husband and two children.
